What can we do for you?

Basic Grooming:

  • Washing - As you well know, dogs get dirty and can begin to smell. Our thorough washing process will remove all the dirt from your dogs coat, including their backside, and in between their toes. We use only tearless shampoos so there is no discomfort. For dogs with white coats, we also use a white enhancing shampoo. Additionally, a conditioner is used to provide extra softness for dogs with longer hair, and extra shine for short haired dogs. Flea & Tick and Medicated Baths are also available.
  • Fluffing/Brushing - Longer haired dogs need their hair combed through on a regular basis to prevent matting. After bathing, we comb and fluff out the hair of dogs that require it.
  • Hair cutting - Depending on the breed of the dog and your hair style preference, we will cut, trim and style your dogs hair for maximum comfort and cuteness.
  • Ear cleaning - We provide a basic ear cleaning to help prevent ear infections, and will let you know if any problems are apparent.
  • Eye cleaning - Eye mucus can not only impair your dog's vision, but it may harden (creating eye crusts) and even lead to infections. These eye crusts can be difficult to remove on your own, and may cause your dog pain. Our method softens the hardened mucus which is then then gently removed.
  • Nail trimming - Most dogs biggest fear is getting their nails cut and can prove to be a difficult task to do on your own. Allow us to do it for you.
  • Sorry, we don't groom Chows.

Additional Services:

The following services, if requested separately from the basic grooming services listed above will require a separate charge.
  • Nail trimming - Most dogs biggest fear is getting their nails cut and can prove to be a difficult task to do on your own. Allow us to do it for you.
  • Brush Out - For dogs with longer hair who are more prone to matting. Allow us to simply brush out your dogs hair for you.
  • Medicated Shampoo - Veterinarian-recommended itch-fighting ingredients which also relieve flaking and scaling. An aid in the treatment of hot spots and as first aid for scrapes and abrasions.
  • Flea & Tick Bath - Kills adult fleas and ticks in your dog's coat, and leaves them smelling fresh and clean.
  • Anal gland expression - These glands are occasionally refereed to as "scent glands", because they enable the dog to mark its territory and to identify each other. We have all seen how dogs greet each other by sniffing at the other's rear. When the anal glands fail to empty normally, the result can be impaction. Impaction is most common in small dog breeds, but can occur in any dog. Among the causes of anal gland impaction are : soft stools, small anal gland openings and overactive anal glands. The anal gland secretions become thick and pasty. Anal gland impaction is treated by manual emptying of the glands. This is a quick and painless process. NOTE: although this service incurs an additional charge, it may only be performed as part of a wash/dry package.
  • Teeth Brushing - This is a basic teeth brushing, and will only affect tooth surface cleanliness. For a more thorough cleaning including tartar control, plaque removal, gingivitis, or any other medical issue, we recommend that you visit your veterinarian.

Frequenty asked questions

How much will it cost?
Pricing depends on many factors, such as breed, size, condition of coat, and the temperament of your dog (if the dog is uncooperative and unruly, it will require more time to work on).

When should I bring my dog?
At 9am. Unless other arrangements are made with us in advance.

How long does the process take?
Every dog requires a different amount of time spent being groomed. A typical grooming session generally lasts about 3 to 4 hours. The reason for this is that every dog is worked on in steps; from washing, to drying, to fluffing, and finally cutting and styling.

Depending on our workload, we will let you know when you can expect to pick up your dog when you bring them in.

Holidays and weekends are our busiest times, and may require a longer wait time from drop-off to pick-up.

We ask that you be patient, and we will always call you and let you know when to come and pick up your dog.

Do I need to bring anything with me for my appointment?
New customers: Before we can groom your pup, as required by the NYC Department of Health, we must ask that you please provide us with copies of certificates from your veterenarian for the following vaccinations:
• Rabies
• DHPP (commonly referred to as DH2PP, DA2PP, DHPP, or Distemper/Parvo)
• Bordetella

Please note that this is a NEW location. Only a couple of block away from our previous shop.
